Grilled Salmon with Maple Glaze
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
For the Maple Glaze
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp. hot sauce
1 tbsp. diced onion
salt to taste
dash of white pepper
For the Grilled Salmon:
4 salmon fillets, (4 to 6 oz.)
1 tablespoon of olive oil
salt and pepper
For the maple glaze:
1. In a small saucepan, heat vinegar and sugar over medium heat until the mixture boils and sugar is dissolved. Add maple syrup, hot sauce and onion. Bring it to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper..
For the grilled salmon:
2. Preheat the grill to medium high.
3. Sprinkle the salmon with salt and pepper. Drizzle with the olive oil.
4. Place the salmon on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
5. Place the salmon on a serving platter. Brush with the maple glaze.
